This month's presentation will be a router demonstration by Mike Cooper, a long time BAWA member and woodworking hobbyist. Mike has been a frequent student at the Woodworkers Academy where he acquired a solid foundation of the basics. While working at Woodcraft, for several years he taught classes where student projects involved many router techniques. This is what he will be showing us: "The demonstration this month will include a few techniques and router accessories I have found useful for completing projects for classes and home. I will be showing how to use spacers to create a slot in a strip of wood. I will demonstrate a jig to create a dado that results in a perfect fit no matter how much the shelf material varies from nominal thickness. I will also show a very useful jig for creating holes of varying sizes. Finally, I will briefly explain how to copy a pattern using a template or a collar."
You may want to bring ear and eye protection.
