"I always wanted to make a nice Walnut spice box: I chose a very heavily figured plank of Walnut and tried to hand-cut the case dovetails in a very cold workshop with no heating - gives it the old look"

Chinese joints and hollowed legs

"Used the Chinese 3 way joint normally used on rectilinear corners to a hexagonal top. Legs were hollowed out on 4 sides to reduce the weight."
